Viral Video
Each year, over 40,000 pets in Colorado have to be put down because their owners couldn't afford to spay or neuter their cat or dog. A tragic statistic and one the Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund is trying desperately to change. The Fund exists to educate the public about random breeding and the need to spay and neuter your dogs and cats.Instead of the standard and expected tear-jerker approach, we used comedy in this viral video that proposes what the world might be like if the pets spilled over into our everyday lives. Our director, production crew and post house all donated their time and efforts to create this piece, raise awareness and create what turned out to be a huge hit.
The result? The video was viewed by thousands of people online, and passed to thousands more by friends who had viewed it. In addition, the Pet Overpopulation Fund received record numbers of people who checked the box on their Colorado state tax return and donated to the fund.
